Lessons from Hunter: This Week on Pro-Life Perspective

By Dave Andrusko

Pro-Life Perspective begins with three powerful stories of pro-life principles in action. Today National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias reaches back in the archives to tell us the inspirational story of the Falduti family.

A typical family, they are ecstatic to learn in 2008 that they will have a third child—a boy. But they are told that there are problems. As Carol explains the family was informed that Hunter had a virus and, if not aborted, would not be “normal.”

But they covered their young son in love, before he was born and after. They told their doctors to take care of their unborn child and Hunter went home the same day he was born.

As Mrs. Tobias explains, over the course of Hunter’s brief but important life his hospital stays become more frequent and longer. Hunter passed away on March 2, 2009, physically leaving them but remaining in their hearts.

Hunter taught lessons to all those who came into contact with him. “Pro-lifers know the mountains can be grueling to climb,” Mrs. Tobias tells us, “but we also know the joys of caring for someone who may need a little extra help.”
