This Week on Pro-Life Perspective: In the Shadow of Greatness

Abraham Lincoln

Many Americans consider Abraham Lincoln our greatest President. National Right to Life takes particular inspiration from Lincoln’s words, his actions, and his determination to extend the rights and protections of our founding documents to all Americans. He had in mind the born. We labor to include the unborn.

National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias ends this week with a deeply moving reflection on our 16th President. Not many know that our national office is across the street from Ford’s Theatre and that we are just two doors down from the Peterson Boarding House where President  Lincoln drew his final breath.

If that weren’t enough to ensure that Lincoln is “constantly in our consciousness at the National Right to Life Office,” the Ford’s Theatre Foundation has built a new Center for Education right next door. Truly, as Mrs. Tobias explains, we here at the NRLC office feel that we are “walking in Lincoln’s shadow” and try to imitate his commitment to appealing to “the better angels” of our nation’s nature.

This is one five-minute episode that you will want to make absolutely sure you listen to, so I won’t spoil your enjoyment by adding details. You can hear today’s episode, and any you may have missed this week, at www.prolifeperspective.com.
