Can Obama’s Numbers Drop Much Lower?

Pro-abortion President Barack Obama

As we approach the end of the week, let’s use this last post to briefly talk about a few of President Obama’s increasingly dreadful numbers.
Over at “Support for ObamaCare Drops to New Lows,” we discuss the results of a poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation where 51% of the respondents had an unfavorable view of the President’s “signature” issue while only 34 % had a favorable impression. This is from a Foundation that always finds reasons to believe the public is more supportive of ObamaCare than it is.
Then PPP (Public Policy Polling), a Democratic polling firm, found that in Wisconsin, where Obama “won a blow out victory” in 2008, he “continues to be unpopular.” Only 44% of voters approve of him to 51% who disapprove. Among Independents the unfavorables are at 57% to only 36% approval.
Then there is this remarkable admission from Obama’s chief of staff, Bill Daley. In an hour-long interview with POLITICO’s Roger Simon, Daley twice referred “to the first three years of Barack Obama’s administration as ‘ungodly’ and once as ‘brutal.’”
Simon chimes in, “The polls stink.” After offering the typical excuses (it’s all a result of the problems Obama inherited and he rarely catches a break, etc.), Dailey offers that Obama “doesn’t know why he’s as high as 44 percent.”
To which Simon comments, “That is supposed to be a laugh line, but, indeed, the RealClearPolitics average of leading polls currently has Obama at 44.0 percent approval and 50.7 percent disapproval.”
