A Question for the Ages. Who ARE these People?

Dec 3, 2011

By Dave Andrusko

Okay, this will be short but not sweet. I chanced across a press release online yesterday from something called AbortionClinicsInChicago.com. It’s a directory for abortion clinics in Chicago and the surrounding area—the kind that helpfully furnishes addresses and phone numbers.

Now, I wasn’t born yesterday. I understand it’s a sort of electronic flyer to snare women who “are faced with an unwanted pregnancy” who can be direct to “information on their available options and how an abortion will impact their lives.” And that the directory, of course, “’is a safe, non-judgmental place to find abortion clinics in Chicago and information you need to know about abortion,’” according to the owner of the website.

Moreover, I fully appreciate that “normalizing” abortion is the be-all and end-all for the abortion industry.

And, finally, I understand that AbortionClinicsInChicago.com is presumably not in control of the live video ad that runs on the side as you read the text, although who knows?

So what was running yesterday alongside advice for how to find places to obtain chemical abortions (where the unborn baby is starved of nutrients and whose emaciated corpse is then flushed out) and surgical abortions (where the baby is ripped to smithereens)?

An ad for preparing a home cooked meal, specifically how to make scrumptious gravy!

You CAN’T make this stuff up.
