What’s Airing on Pro-Life Perspective? “A Revolving Door between the Abortion Industry and the Obama Administration”

National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias leads her listeners through a quick but cogent examination of the largest abortion provider in the world: Planned Parenthood. And that begins—but does not end—with the basics.

For example, that (1) PPFA clinics aborted 332,278 babies in 2009. Or (2) that it is a $1 billion corporation. Or (3) that while the number of abortions has gone down over the past twenty years, the number keeps rising at PPFA clinics. Or (4) that abortion accounted for more than a third of PPFA clinic revenues taken in in 2009.

But this five-minute episode focuses primarily on Planned Parenthood’s political muscle and the revolving door relationship it has with the pro-abortion Obama administration,” according to Mrs. Tobias. Thus it is no surprise that PPFA recently hired Dana Singiser as vice president of public policy and governmental affairs.

Who is Dana Singiser? A veteran Democratic operative she’s been in the Obama administration from Day One and (according to The Hill newspaper) “was a key part in the team that shepherded [Obama’s] healthcare reform law through Congress.” Mrs. Tobias notes, “Singiser joins Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards as another Capitol Hill alum with loads of legislative and lobbying experience, but little background in actual health care.”

There is much more about PPFA in today’s broadcast which you can hear at www.prolifeperspective.com.

Mrs. Tobias ends with a thoughtful insight:

“Singiser made just $300 a month when working on Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign. Nothing lists her new salary, but other V.P.s listed on Planned Parenthood’s 2009 tax return earned upwards of $200,000 per year.

“Yes, Virginia, there is a revolving door between the abortion industry and the Obama Administration – and it’s a very lucrative one at that.”
