What’s Airing on Pro-Life Perspective Today? “Educating on Unborn Pain, Part 5”

National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias begins the conclusion of this week’s five-part PLP series with a truth and a truism:

“39 years ago this month, the Supreme Court handed down two decisions that have changed the very fabric of our society.”

On January 6,  as we reflect on Roe v. Wade and its equally wretched companion case, Doe v. Bolton, we are faced with the same stark choice that pro-lifers have confronted for nearly four decades.

“Do we sit idly by as millions of unborn children continue to be killed every year? “ Mrs. Tobias asks. “Or do we stand up and make a difference” in the process “changing the culture and saving lives?”

Like those of us at National Right to Life, you’ve chosen the path which is less traveled but of enormous significance: to courageously make a stand by providing a voice for the voiceless and working tirelessly to save unborn lives.

Mrs. Tobias tells her audience that last year was a turning point in the battle for the right-to-life.

“State legislatures in four states came out in defense of unborn children who are capable of feeling pain. Following the lead of Nebraska, which in 2010 enacted the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, Idaho, Alabama, Oklahoma and Kansas enacted similar legislation; media headlines and stories grudgingly acknowledged that unborn babies are capable of feeling pain.”

All this week she has talked about the resources National Right to Life’s State Organizational Development Department have produced to help you educate your family, friends, and community about the reality of fetal pain.

Those resources include petitions (both online and downloadable), brochures, signs, and stickers that you can use, and, of course, NRLC’s iconic “Stop” sign. But someone has to download or write NRLC for these materials and then use them to change a nation.

Mrs. Tobias ends the week with an invitation.

“Are you planning on attending the March for Life in DC or the local right to life March in your home state? Our education launch will be very evident at the March in DC, and we would love to have you help us. We’re seeking volunteers to help things run smoothly. If you’re unable to volunteer this year, be sure to look for our signs about unborn pain—we’ll have plenty on hand for you to carry.”
