Pro-Life Mitt Romney and his Vice Presidential Selection

Pro-Life Mitt Romney

Caveat: only pro-life Mitt Romney and a handful of close associates (a) know who the REAL frontrunners (as opposed to a laundry list of good candidates) are to be his vice presidential running mate, and/or when that pick will be announced. That is only one of the reasons it’s silly for some to work themselves into lather when someone—unidentified, of course—floats a name that the pro-life community would find unacceptable. It also is insulting to Mr. Romney.

New York Times reporter Jeff  Zeleny wrote Friday that Romney “is on the cusp of announcing his vice-presidential selection. Mr. Romney has reached a decision, his friends believe, and he may disclose it as soon as this week.”

Maybe, maybe not. Two things. First, Mr. Romney may announce in a few days, he may announce a month from today. There are arguments for both.

Second, every name that has been seriously floated is pro-life.
