In the fourth of a four-part series, National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias completes her debunking of the pro-abortion mantra that pro-lifers are waging a “war on women.”  As she explains, “Our opponents in this battle for life would have everyone believe that if you don’t support abortion, you are against women.  If you try to pass pro-life, protective legislation, you are anti-woman.  In fact, they would like everyone to believe that if you support any restriction whatsoever on abortion, you are engaged in a war on women.”

Mrs. Tobias extends her discussion of the tremendous toll abortion inflicts on women, noting that while pro-lifers care about both mother and child, pro-abortionists, in fact, care for neither. If they did, they wouldn’t

refuse to acknowledge any real problems of or consequences from abortion.  “Ending the life of your unborn child is more traumatic than having your appendix removed, but since abortion is supposed to be a good thing for women, aborted women are not supposed to grieve their loss,” Mrs. Tobias says today.

Likewise, abortion advocates turn their heads from the abundant evidence that women who have abortions may experience physical, mental, or emotional problems. For example, a leading complication of abortion is that it may harm a woman’s reproductive system, damaging her uterus or cervix.

“Women who have had one or more abortions also report damaged relationships with their partner and/or their parents,” Mrs. Tobias explains. “Aborted women report a sense of helplessness, a feeling of loss of control, emotional numbing, guilt, pain, grief, depression, irritability, and aggressive behavior.”

Be sure to take just a few minutes to listen to PLP at You will hear more evidence of abortion’s aftermath, including post-abortion syndrome and an increased risk of having breast cancer. She contrasts the life-affirming response to a crisis pregnancy with the “solution” offered by pro-abortionists: a dead baby.

Mrs. Tobias concludes, “So I ask, who is waging a war on women, and who really cares about women?   I think the facts speak for themselves.”
