More payment to Obama in the form of misleading advertisements from Planned Parenthood’s Political Arm

As I watched the Democratic National Convention, I followed a gazillion different tweeters, including Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood. I remember one tweet in particular: “Thank you DNC for the love for Planned Parenthood & support for women’s health! Mom would have loved this night!”  [Mom was the late Ann Richards, the pro-abortion governor of Texas, who lost to pro-life George W. Bush in 1994.]

I had forgotten about it until today when Ms. Richards gushes about a tweet she received Sunday from President Obama:

Well, in good quid pro quo form PPFA’s political arm, Planned Parenthood Votes, today began a $3.2 million campaign buy against pro-life Mitt Romney in the swing states of  Ohio and Virginia.

Unimaginatively (and inaccurately), the 30-second ad–which includes a $1.85 million buy of five weeks of cable television in the Northern Virginia market– is called “Turn the Clock Back.”

And once again, pro-abortionists are re-running a snippet out an interview to leave a dishonest impression. “While in the ad Romney says he would “get rid” of Planned Parenthood — a clip from a KDSK interview — in context he was clearly talking about cutting off federal funding, not destroying the organization,” reported the Washington Post’s Rachel Weiner.

As NRL News Today reported earlier today, appearing on “Meet The Press” yesterday, Mr. Mitt Romney yesterday again clearly reaffirmed his desire that the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade and pledged to end the Obama administration’s policies that fund abortion. Talking about how he would encourage pro-life policies.

Mr. Romney went on to say,

“I will, for instance, reverse the president’s decision on using U.S. funds to pay for abortion outside this country.  I don’t think also the taxpayers here should have to pay for abortion in this country.  Those things I think are consistent with my pro-life position. And I hope to appoint justices to the Supreme Court that will follow the law and the constitution.  And it would be my preference that they reverse Roe v. Wade and therefore they return to the people and their elected representatives the decisions with regards to this important issue.”
