Love is not proud.
Love does not boast.
Love, after all,
Matters the most.
Love does not run.
Love does not hide.
Love does not keep
Locked inside.
Love is the river that flows through.
Love never fails you.
(“Love Never Fails” Brandon Heath/Chad Cates)
I love music. We can find music to match any emotion we’re feeling. Music can change our mood, the words can give us a new perspective, and together they can make us think. Listening to “Love Never Fails” by Brandon Heath, based on 1 Corinthians 13, I was again reminded of how the right-to-life movement is the movement of love. Consider how love is woven into the very warp and woof of everything that we do.
Love. What else would motivate pro-lifers to give so much of their time and resources to help people they will most likely never meet–whether unborn babies saved from abortion, or elderly and disabled persons saved from euthanasia? Not only are we unlikely ever to meet them, those saved likely will never know that our efforts and our intervention made it possible for them to live.
Love. What else would inspire pro-lifers to help pregnant women who aren’t looking with excitement and joy at the new life growing inside them? What else would lead our hearts to insist that we offer the mother practical help and support?
Love. What else would give parents the courage to continue a pregnancy after they have been told their unborn child will require extra time and special attention or, in the case of one family, fight medical “experts” to save the life of their child? (www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2013/08/life-of-the-week-defying-the-doctors-and-the-odds-with-trisomy-18/)
Love. What else would galvanize pro-lifers to work for pro-life candidates who will pass pro-life legislation to protect unborn children from abortion and the disabled and elderly from euthanasia?

Love. What else would compel pro-lifer legislators to move forward with legislation to protect the lives of the unborn and their mothers, the disabled, and the elderly, even (as was the case recently in Texas) knowing their own safety was at risk? (www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2013/07/abortion-mob-sinks-to-new-low-threatens-legislators-bill-supporters/)
Love. What else would motivate college students to give up their summers to work as an intern or to attend the NRL Academy so that they can better prepare themselves to be the most effective advocate for the innocent and the voiceless? The right-to-life movement loves, not only in word or talk, but in deed and in truth. That all-encompassing love is the river that flows through everything we do to help unborn babies threatened by abortion; the elderly and disabled threatened by euthanasia.
It doesn’t run, it doesn’t hide. Love never fails.
…Love is right here.
Love is alive.
Love is the Way,
The Truth, the Life.
Love is the river than flows through…
Love never fails you.
