Pro-abortion President Barack Obama
As NRL News Today discussed yesterday, if you pulled up this week’s Reuters-Ipsos poll, you would find President Obama’s job approval ratings at a startlingly low 35%. “Fifty-eight percent of Americans expressed disapproval of the White House’s current occupant — 37 percent of them ‘strongly,’” according to Fox News’s Brendan Bordelon. “Just 17 percent strongly approved of Obama’s current performance”
With the African-America community’s near unanimous support for the President still a constant, the only explanation for the continuing drop in public approval is an ominous slippage in support among the other core constituencies that twice elected Mr. Obama president.
Some examples:
· Women’s disapproval is nearing an all-time low in the latest Washington Post-ABC poll: 50% disapproval to 44% approval, “almost the reverse of the 55 percent to 44 percent breakdown for Obama among female voters in 2012, according to exit polls,” explained the Washington Post’s Karen Tumulty.
· How about younger voting-age group (18-29)? In June it was 54% approval. Now it is 43% approval. By way of context, Tumulty wrote, “Voters younger than 30 supported Obama by 60 percent to 37 percent in 2012.”
· “An NBC News/WSJ/Telemundo poll of Latinos conducted in early September revealed that Obama’s approval rating has fallen 15 points in 18 months to 47 percent,” writes Ed Morrissey.
· Among the party faithful, “The Hill [newspaper] also observed that a YouGov survey found that Obama’s support among Democrats alone had fallen to just 40 percent,” Morrissey added.
