Pro-abortion groups pour in money to prop up Hagan

by | Sep 17, 2014

victoryfund2nd in a series of e-blasts highlighting the key U.S. Senate races the National Right to Life Victory Fund is working to win to gain pro-life control of the U.S. Senate.

It’s incredibly close!

The fight for control of the U.S. Senate is down to a few seats. The Rothenberg Political Report last week predicted Republicans would control 52 seats after the election.

That outcome would allow pro-lifers to boot pro-abortion obstructionist Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) from the majority leader position, which means pro-life legislation would be considered on the Senate floor for the first time in years!

But in just the past few days, that 52-seat prediction has been challenged. The average of polls just swung the 52nd seat, North Carolina, back to the Democrats after new polls came out showing incumbent pro-abortion Sen. Kay Hagan has re-taken the lead she held earlier this summer.

So it’s now down to the GOP leading in 51 seats, the bare minimum needed to gain control.

Sen. Hagan is an interesting case. Her support for Obamacare and Barack Obama are highly unpopular in North Carolina. Her zero percent pro-life voting record in the Senate is a definite liability in that moderate-to-conservative state. But she’s a loyal vote against life, so pro-abortion groups are desperate to keep her in the Senate.

Groups like Planned Parenthood and Emily’s List are spending literally millions of dollars to re-elect her and to defeat her stalwart pro-life opponent, Thom Tillis. Hagan is hoping to ride that pro-abortion support to another six years in office, six more years where she can vote against the unborn and help carry the water for Harry Reid, Barack Obama, and other pro-abortion voices in her party.

The National Right to Life Victory Fund is working very hard in North Carolina and in the other Senate races the unborn need us to win in November. We’re finding new pro-life voters, educating them on the critical nature of these elections, and working to get them to the polls in huge numbers.

And we need your help to win!

Whether you live in North Carolina or in one of the other states with a tight U.S. Senate race or anywhere in the U.S. and care about the unborn, your help is critically needed. The NRL Victory Fund can only do as much as pro-lifers across this country fund them to do. We just can’t let ourselves come up short in one or two races because we didn’t have the resources needed to fight all-out in every key state.

So please help us win pro-life control of the U.S. Senate with a generous donation of $1,000, $500, or $100 today. You’d be amazed how much outreach and get-out-the-vote efforts your donation of even $50 or $35 can leverage. Any support you can give can help us win!

We’re in the midst of one of the great, historical non-presidential elections in our nation’s history. Please be a part of that historical moment with your generous donation today!
