mombaby8“Tsunami GOP wave misses Oregon” screamed newspaper headlines throughout Oregon the morning after Tuesday’s election. In spite of election difficulties, pro-life Oregonians are saving the lives of unborn babies in record numbers.

After reaching an all-time high of annual abortions of 14,487 in 1997, abortion numbers, rates. and ratios have been in steady decline and now are at an all-time low! Abortions in Oregon have plummeted 43% since the mid-nineties and in 2013 were reported at 8,283. Four Planned Parenthood clinics have closed their doors this year as “clients” have dwindled away.

Pro-life Oregonians pour their hearts and lives into saving God’s littlest ones through many ministries which work hand-in-hand with each other. Oregon Right to Life’s high-tech, interactive special event booths reach millions of Oregonians though its 32 booths throughout the state. Speakers at schools and teen church events enhance their reach with the pro-life message.

Students for Life hosts activities at many colleges and high schools and report saving babies! Oregon’s pregnancy resource centers almost all offer free ultrasounds to women who come in their doors for free pregnancy tests, saving lives every day. Forty Day’s for Life prayer vigils continue to grow larger each year in front of Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills in Portland, Salem and Eugene. Each campaign reports babies rescued from Planned Parenthood’s clutches. Post-abortive women speaking with Silent No More bravely give their testimony to Oregonians who have never heard their side of the abortion story.

We are grateful for the soft hearts and the hard work of each pro-life Oregonian who serve to save unborn children. God is indeed blessing their efforts!
