Abortionist Adedayo Adedeji
At first it was just a tiny, tiny news item carried in a couple of news sites in England and Ireland.
An abortionist– Adedayo Adedeji–and two nurses–Gemma Pullen and Margaret Miller–appeared in Ealing Magistrates’ Court charged with manslaughter by gross negligence in the death of Aisha Chithira, a woman who died hours after undergoing an abortion in 2012.
Chithira, from Ireland, was 22 weeks pregnant when the 32-year-old died after having her abortion at the Marie Stopes clinic in Ealing which is in West London.
In scope and influence, Marie Stopes, along with the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, are the Planned Parenthood of Great Britain.

The procedure was carried out at 4.30pm on the afternoon of 21 January 2012. It became apparent afterwards that she was seriously unwell, was treated at the clinic and was then discharged and travelled to a friend’s house in Slough.
Her condition worsened and an ambulance was called. Ms. Chithira was declared dead at 10pm that night.
But then the Daily Mail, which has one of the largest online presences of any publication in the world, began to cover the story and added additional details.
Prosecutor Colin Gibbs told magistrates it was a “very serious offence,” adding, “All her symptoms, which included falling to the floor, hyperventilating and many other things, were not properly dealt with.”
According to reporter Euan McLelland, Gibbs said, “It became apparent she was quite unwell as a result of the procedure. She actually suffered an internal tear and that was causing internal bleeding and blood loss… Ms. Chithira was discharged and took a taxi to a friend’s house in Slough, where an ambulance was called for her, before she was pronounced dead at 10pm that day.”
We also learn from McLelland that the three also face a charge under the Health and Safety at Work Act of “failing as an employee while at work to take reasonable care for the health and safety of Aisha Chithira, who was affected by your actions or omissions at work.”
Released on bail, the three will be back in court July 3.
