WASHINGTON – The National Right to Life Committee and the Illinois Federation for Right to Life Federal PAC have endorsed pro-life state Senator Darin LaHood in the July 7 special primary election for the 18th Congressional District of Illinois.

Leaders from National Right to Life expressed their support for Darin LaHood, stating that he is a “strong advocate for life” and that Illinois voters who are concerned with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to send Darin LaHood to Congress.

“Illinois Federation for Right to Life Federal PAC is proud to endorse Darin LaHood, who has a proven pro-life record working in the Illinois state Senate,” said Dawn Behnke, IFRL president.

Darin LaHood advocates for pro-life laws including the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which protects unborn children 20 weeks and older who are capable of experiencing pain during abortions, and he also opposes the use of taxpayer funds to pay for abortions.

LaHood wants to defend the right to life for all who would be vulnerable. His work would include protecting unborn children along with disabled persons and those at the end of their lives.
