Approaching the vote to Defund Planned Parenthood: Part Two

Hillary’s remark about finding videos “disturbing” doesn’t go over well with fellow Abortion Defenders

The only question was when and how much. I mean when would the Abortion Industry and its fellow travelers light into pro-abortion Hillary Clinton for sounding just ever-so-little disturbed by the first three undercover videos filmed by the Center for Medical Progress. (The fourth, which came after Mrs. Clinton’s interview with Dan Touhy of the New Hampshire Union Leader, in many ways was the most unsettling.)

Thanks to Tim Graham of Newsbusters for the heads-up. He quoted from a column written by the Washington Post’s David Weigel about the “furious” reaction to Clinton’s comments.

“She needs to clarify what her [point of view] is, and articulate it strongly and without apology,” former Planned Parenthood president Gloria Feldt told MSNBC’s Irin Carmon. “I just think that when candidates get to the firing line of a campaign they get thrown off balance and waffle.”

So Clinton’s sin of commission was…“The Democratic frontrunner, seemingly, had been forced into a defensive crouch,” Weigel wrote.

We’re to conclude that the Abortion Industry is even a teensy weensy bit worried about one of its standard bearers? Of course not.

But as the spotlight shines of what actually is taking place, they want Mrs. Clinton to take the hardest of hard lines, which is one that only 1% of the American public agrees with: that it is not only permissible but laudable to harvest intact hearts and lungs and livers and brains from aborted babies to be passed along to middlemen who pass them along to people who will experiment on the babies’ body parts.

Weigel inadvertently stumbled on why the Abortion Industry is so unnerved by the turmoil. Evil “Conservatives” have the audacity to attempt

to shift the conversation on abortion, from one that bedevils Republicans to one that flummoxes Democrats. Instead of speaking generically — and popularly — about “women’s health care,” the Planned Parenthood sting forced Democrats to confront the little-covered and gruesome issue of fetal tissue sales.

Put into English, this means that when PPFA and pro-abortion Democrats cannot hide abortion under the rubric of “women’s health care,” we talk about happens to unborn babies and to “tissue,” which is a pro-abortion term of art that includes whole organs.

Some final thoughts in Part Three.
