Behind the façade, customers Yelp about their horrible PPFA experiences

Oct 9, 2015

YELPandPPHats off, once again, to the always indispensable Molly Hemingway.

Writing at The Federalist, Hemingway alerted her readers to “’All Sorts of Nasty’: These 39 Yelp Reviews of Planned Parenthood Clinics will Horrify You.”

If you’re like me, you may not know that Yelp is “a popular online customer review application.” The service may be popular, but the posts describing what women went through at the nation’s largest abortion provider included “’Experience was awful,’ ‘insanely horrible,’ ‘filthy,’ ‘frankly, I am scared,’ ‘1 word: disgusting.’”

According to Hemingway, the responses were from clinics located in Falls Church, VA; Silver Spring, MD; Washington, D.C.; Montgomery Village, MD,; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, NC; Virginia Beach, VA; Richmond, VA; Lancaster, PA; and Philadelphia, PA.

You can read the posts for yourself. But in case you don’t have time, here is a smattering of typical comments:

The first time, I was shocked at what a sad and dismal place this–unmarked on the outside, a terrifying rickety old elevator that I would not trust going into. Dark, damp stairwells with buzzing, flickering lights.

……..

Horrible horrible nurse….If you hate your job you should find something you would enjoy more and not take it out on the patients. Oh yeah, the room was filithy. I didn’t want to touch anything or be touched by anything in there….

……

If I could give this place zero stars I would

………………….

I am pro choice but perhaps the funding should go to family planning organizations that actually do effective work.

…………………..

One word!!!! DISGUSTING!!! Horrible service and very unorganized.

………………….

The place is dirty and the people there don’t seem to care about the people that come in. Very disappointed with the clinic.

………………..

Maybe as Congress continues to hold hearings on Planned Parenthood, the voice of everyday consumers will get an airing. It would be an ear-full for the member of Congress, especially, perhaps, pro-abortion Democrats.
