The good news is that lots and lots of pro-lifers–and people who ran across the May digital edition online–have taken time out of their hectic days to read the current issue of National Right to Life News [www.nrlc.org/uploads/NRLNews/NRLNewsMay2016.pdf.]. I thank you.
We take pride in offering a smorgasbord of stories, opinion pieces, commentaries, and deep analyses in each and every edition of the “pro-life newspaper of record.”
In reverse order, Randall K. O’Bannon, Ph.D., NRL Director of Education & Research, offers a thorough and complete explication of how “Mega-analysis Confirms Abortion’s Connection to Subsequent Preterm Pregnancy.” (A “mega-analysis” has more predictive power because it combines the results from multiple studies–in this case 36 studies covering more than one million women.) A must-read.
In case you need a good cry (tears of joy and empathy), be sure to read “These Things We Know.” Joleigh Little, Teens for Life Director for Wisconsin Right to Life, is well known to NRL News Today readers. Her stories on adoption are, in a word, precious.
Jean Garton, the author of the pro-life classic, “Who Broke the Baby?,” displays her enormous gift for telling “stories” that you will never forget. Her tribute to Jerome Lejeune, best known for finding the chromosome that causes Down’s syndrome, is as heartfelt as it is gracious. (As Jean notes, “He was searching its cure when he died in 1994.”)
And there are more than two dozen stories in the May digital edition, covering everything from politics to state legislation to the annual NRLC convention to a drop in the number of abortion clinics–and much, much more.
Please, continue to read the entire issue. As you do, please pass along individual stories and the link to the May issue–www.nrlc.org/uploads/NRLNews/NRLNewsMay2016.pdf.
