Lilly7reIn a culture where much of what we find on TV is discouraging, a sixth-grader with Down syndrome is a welcome and joyful reprieve. Lily Moore is a young girl with Down syndrome who stars in national television commercials for a major corporation. Her message of determination and kindness is inspiring.

As an individual with a condition that makes her “different” from most people, Lily has learned to overcome adversity in her young life, and her gracious attitude is contagious. Lily agrees with her mom that “everybody deserves love and kindness” – and Lily knows firsthand just how valuable these commodities are in life.

On Facebook, Lily shared that she assembles bags of food and toiletries to give to homeless people when she sees them, and she is working to collect donations from the community to make more.

“Lily is very determined,” says her mom. “She doesn’t let ‘No’ stand in her way. It makes her who she is.”

Thank you, Lily, for shining your beautiful light in our world!
