A 4D scan captured Aimee Fagan’s unborn daughter smiling in the womb

If you look at the 4-D ultrasound of Aimee Fagan’s unborn daughter, now 31 weeks, you can see why Lorna Hughes of the Liverpool Echo newspaper headlined her story, “Is this Liverpool’s happiest baby?

The little girl is smiling ear to ear. You might ask, why? Well, according to Aimee Fagan, it’s the influence of another daughter, three-year-old Mollie.

“I went in for the scan and the baby was hiding at first and wouldn’t let us have a look at her.

“Eventually when she did move, my little one Mollie was talking to my bump and the baby just kept smiling.

“We wondered if it was because of Mollie and the lady said ‘stop talking for a minute’, then the baby stopped smiling.

“As soon as Mollie started speaking again she was just smiling away as if she recognised her.”

Hughes explains that Fagan had similar detailed scans with her eldest daughter, Macy (6) and Mollie.

Fagan told Hughes that it was wonderful to see the face of her as yet unnamed baby girl with clarity but that “her smile made the moment even more special.”

“She’s just the image of her dad but I could also see my other girls in her.”

Hughes ends her delightful story with this:

Aimee and Shaun have decided on a name for their new arrival but are keeping it under wraps until she arrives in a planned Caesarean section on January 12.

“I hope she’s going to be a smiley baby. My other girls are very happy children, which is nice, and they’re excited about having a sister.

“Hopefully her smiling at Mollie means they’ll get along well – until the fighting starts!

“She must be the happiest baby in Liverpool.”
