Most, if not virtually all attention paid to the unfinished business of the 2016 elections is the challenge by fringe presidential candidate Jill Stein to the vote totals in three states.

But there is another election–this for the United States Senate–that will culminate this Saturday in Louisiana.

Currently there are 51 Republican senators and 48 Democratic senators . The runoff this Saturday is between Republican State Treasurer John Kennedy and Democratic Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell. (GOP incumbent Senator David Vitter did not seek re-election.)

Kennedy answered questionnaires provided by both Louisiana Right to Life and National Right to Life 100 percent pro-life. He was endorsed by National Right to Life.

Campbell did not answer either questionnaire.

Kennedy not only answered both surveys he is proudly touting his pro-life credentials. He ran a powerful pro-life ad multiple times during the New Orleans Saints football game Sunday.

In the ad, Kennedy affirms his belief “in protecting the unborn”; says he is in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade; that he believes “every life is precious, whether it is 82 years old or 82 seconds old; and affirms that “I am so proud to be endorsed by National Right to Life.”
