What a wonderful initial response to the January digital edition of National Right to Life News. So sooner had we posted this 45-page issue this morning than compliments began to roll in, starting with praise for the cover. I agree: it is terrific.

What would an issue coming out three day before the annual March for Life have on its front page? A story about how the House of Representatives will vote this Friday on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act, of course. And a wonderfully uplifting story written by Maria Gallagher, about “45 reasons for hope and optimism on Roe’s 45th anniversary.”

On page three, NRLC President Carol Tobias reminds us of an essential truth: “Want to Stop Abortion? It begins by electing more Pro-Life Candidates.” There are a number of stories about the importance of pro-lifers rolling up our selves.

At the same time we know, there is so much to do, NRL Political Director Karen Cross wisely advises, “Choose what you can do, even if it is only one thing for all are important in helping us carry the day. Please examine NRL‘s suggestions and decide what best fits your time and talents.”

And there are up-to-the-minute summaries of federal and state legislation with a look ahead. Jennifer Popik, JD, director of Federal Legislation, explains how “National Right to Life is gearing up for a busy year working with the U.S. Congress,” beginning with the vote on H.R. 4712, the Born Alive Abortion Survivor Act.

At the state level, Ingrid Duran, director of the department of State Legislation, writes of NRLC 2018’s Promise to Unborn Children”—“We promise to be your voice, your representative in the 2018 session. We promise to pass protective laws that also educate the public about your humanity and your right to exist and the need for abortionminded women to have the full picture about what is a life-and death decision.”

We will talk more tomorrow about the January digital edition of NRL News. By way of preview, there are loads of stories about Planned Parenthood—unborn children’s #1 enemy; a heartening account of a decision by a U.S. court of appeals striking down a Baltimore law targeting pregnancy care centers; and a beautiful story of yet another abortion clinic being converted into a life-affirming center.

Please read the entire edition and pass along stories to your pro-life friends and family.
