Commemorating National Right to Life’s 50 Years of Defending Life

by | Aug 24, 2018

Editor’s note. 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the National Right to Life Committee. As part of NRLC’s annual Yearbook, which was distributed to attendees at the NRLC convention in Overland, Kansas, there were many tributes to the most effective single-issue pro-life organization in America. Over the next several weeks, we will be posting many of those tributes in National Right to Life News Today and in National Right to Life News.

Eileen Haupt, co-founder of KIDS

“Thank you, National Right to Life, for all you have done to educate and support me! Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary of building a Culture of Life!”

“In recent years, National Right to Life has invited me to be a workshop speaker at the NRL conventions on the subject of Down syndrome, and the tragic routine practice of aborting unborn babies with Down syndrome. It has meant so much to me to be able to educate pro-lifers on this subject at the conventions.

“Additionally, I must mention that from the very first Keep Infants with Down Syndrome (KIDS) event that fellow KIDS co-founder Leticia Velasquez and I held at the March for Life in 2009, National Right to Life has welcomed our group with open arms, and has generously provided our group with the space, sandwiches, and refreshments, before we head out to join the March.
