The 10 most read NRL News Today stories of 2018

by | Dec 28, 2018

By Dave Andrusko

Each year on the last day we publish NRL News Today, we run a list of the best received, most popular stories of the previous twelve months.

There is no magic to choosing 10, but 10 it is.

What can we say, in general, about the stories you responded to in the largest number?

As tender hearted as most pro-lifers are, it came as no surprise that stories about rescued newborns ranked high. Indeed one came in first by a mile!

Likewise posts about mothers and fathers who refused counsel from doctors to abort their babies (for whatever reason) resonated, not just in the Top Ten but in any lengthier list.

At the other end of the spectrum, there was the feel-good story about a dad who documented his wife’s two pregnancies in time-lapse video. About as cute as it gets.

Readers en masse also read our stories that addressed legal issues; the sweep of the abortion “liberty” created by Roe; and, of course, the movie about abortionist Kermit Gosnell, “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.” The movie hits Video on Demand on January 22nd, and then DVD, on February 5th.

When you have a few moments, please read or re-read these 10 stories and forward them to pro-life family and friends.

I would love to hear your reactions. Send them to

Have a wonderful end of the year. We’ll see you in 2019.
