This video has been all over the internet and, as a mom to four young children, it literally left me speechless.

In “Kids Meet Someone Who’s Had an Abortion” #ShoutYourAbortion co-founder, Amelia Bonow, confuses children with untruthful pro-abortion rhetoric.

On December 28 a video was released entitled, “Kids Meet Someone Who’s Had an Abortion”. It is geared to tweens and young teens, and it is just plain sickening.

This HiHo video produced by features Amelia Bonow, a radical abortion advocate and the co-founder of #ShoutYourAbortion, a group that promotes “positive” abortion stories and encourages women to talk about their abortion experiences with pride.

“Kids Meet Someone Who’s Had an Abortion” exemplifies the lies our children are being told on a daily basis by abortion advocates. Here is just a bit of the staggering misinformation from the video:

  • When asked about adoption, Bonow says, “I should be the one to decide if my body creates a life.” If a woman chooses adoption, “you still like have a kid, out there, somewhere.” Bonow skips over the scientific fact that, when a woman has an abortion, a life that has already been created is ended.
  • Abortion is “…all part of God’s plan”, Bonow tells the kids, and says that pro-life laws are the work of “old white dudes in the government.” Never mind the fact that the leaders of Wisconsin Right to Life, National Right to Life and the majority of its affiliates, the Susan B. Anthony List, March for Life, and many other prominent pro-life groups are women who recognize the scientific reality that unborn children are fully human and deserve legal protection.
  • This is how Bonow describes her abortion: “You go to the doctor, and they put this little straw inside of your cervix and then inside of your uterus and then they just suck the pregnancy out. And it was like a crappy dentist appointment or something. It was just like, ‘ahhhh, this is like a body thing that’s kind of uncomfortable.’” There is no mention of the fact that “the pregnancy” is a living baby with arms, legs, fingers, toes plus a beating heart and that many women suffer devastating emotional and/or physical repercussions from their abortions. Abortion is NOTHING like a “crappy dentist appointment.”
  • Further de-humanizing the unborn child, Bonow tells the children in this video that unborn babies aren’t really human “until they’re born” and agrees with one child who says that unborn babies are like a “sea cucumber” — just a blob that can’t think and isn’t human.

The Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund works to counter the lies abortion advocates are feeding to our kids. Our L!fe Summer Camp as well as our Life on Campus groups are ensuring kids learn the truth about life and are giving them the tools they need to share this truth with their peers.

Life Summer Camp

2018 L!fe Summer Camp campers spent a day at the capitol in Madison learning about their role in the legislative process as well as how to talk to elected officials about the life issues.

At L!fe Summer Camp, teens learn how to confidently share their beliefs, form logical arguments, and debate effectively, all through the lens of the life issues. They learn the scientific facts about life and how the pro-life movement doesn’t just protect unborn babies, it protects women, children, the elderly, and people living with disabilities or terminal illness. They learn how to be voices for life at their schools and in their communities.

L!fe Summer Camp is also FUN! Kids enjoy a ropes course, boating, games, crafts, and more. Even better, they make friends that will last a lifetime. More information can be found at

L!fe on Campus

Life on Campus leaders enjoyed a weekend of training and fun in the Wisconsin Dells — October, 2018

Our college campuses are strongholds for pro-abortion activism and the lies of people like Amelia Bonow. To counter this, Wisconsin Right to Life established pro-life groups on college campuses around Wisconsin years before any other group. Our L!fe on Campus groups are bringing the pro-life message to colleges and universities throughout Wisconsin.

L!fe on Campus groups are very active, and share the hope of the pro-life movement by:

  • Directing students with unplanned pregnancies to local pregnancy resource centers;
  • Offering pro-life education on campus through “tabling” events;
  • Raising awareness with displays like Cemetery of the Innocents;
  • Educating through fun events such as Pro-Life Cupcake Day;
  • Providing free babysitting for students with small children;
  • Offering camaraderie and support to pro-life students who often feel alone.
