Pro-abortion House Judiciary Committee votes to adopt two articles of impeachment. Full House vote expected next week.

The only question from Day One—by that I mean the day after Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016—the only question was whether pro-abortion Democrats could win a majority in the House of Representatives. If they accomplished this, as they did in the 2018 elections, a vote to impeach President Trump was inevitable. They hate him and they never accepted that he had defeated Clinton fair and square. That he is vocally pro-life and works to defend unborn children, at home and aboard, only makes pro-abortion Democrats despise him all the more.

Fox News’s lead neatly summarized where we are at. Today the House Judiciary Committee

voted to adopt two articles of impeachment against President Trump – capping a contentious three-day session that Republicans panned as a “kangaroo court” and teeing up a historic floor vote right before the holiday break.

The committee adopted both articles, alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, on a party-line vote of 23-17. A final roll call in the full House is expected next week, which could trigger a Senate trial in the new year just as presidential primaries are set to get underway.

The lone remaining question in the House is how many Democrats who won in 2018 in districts carried by President Trump, will not vote to impeach. At most, it will be a handful

When proceedings reach the Senate, there is a trial over which Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts will preside. A two-thirds vote is required to convict.

The White House voiced its acute displeasure with today’s 23-17 vote along party lines.

“This desperate charade of an impeachment inquiry in the House Judiciary Committee has reached its shameful end,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said. “The President looks forward to receiving in the Senate the fair treatment and due process which continues to be disgracefully denied to him by the House.
