By Ohio Right to Life
Last week, the Ohio Department of Health made a life-saving move to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. All non-essential elective medical procedures were ordered to be halted so our health care systems could put all their energy and resources into combating the current pandemic which threatens to stretch our state’s medical supplies to the breaking point.
Medical facilities across the state quickly complied, postponing surgeries and donating their extra masks, gloves, and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the effort. In this moment of community crisis, only one thing truly matters: saving vulnerable lives.
However, Ohio’s abortion facilities have made their own priorities abundantly clear. Rather than closing their doors in accordance with the health order to conserve PPEs in short supply and help flatten the curve, Planned Parenthood and all other abortion facilities in Ohio have continued committing abortions.
Today, Ohio Right to Life sent the following letter to Dr. Amy Acton, Director of the Ohio Department of Health, calling on the department to enforce the law and close abortion facilities.
You can read the letter here.
What can you do to help? It’s time for us to hold Planned Parenthood accountable. Join us in sending a clear message: that abortion is not essential. Tell Planned Parenthood and their abortion allies that they are not above the law. Sign our petition here.
We will never stop fighting until every vulnerable life in Ohio is protected.
