National Right to Life says Planned Parenthood should return $80 million in funds intended for small businesses

WASHINGTON – According to a report yesterday from Fox News, thirty-seven Planned Parenthood affiliates applied for and received more than $80 million in funds from the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program, created by Congress to provide relief for small businesses with fewer than 500 employees.

Planned Parenthood has more than 16,000 employees nationwide.

“The Paycheck Protection Program is designed to protect small businesses, not behemoth organizations with over 16,000 employees,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Planned Parenthood should return the $80 million in funds.”

According to its most recent annual report, Planned Parenthood reported performing 345,672 abortions for 2018, the most the organization has ever reported. That figure represents 40.1% of all the abortions the Guttmacher Institute says were performed in the U.S. in 2017 (the most recent year available).

The abortion giant also reported $1,638,600,000 in revenue for 2018-2019. These figures continue to cement Planned Parenthood’s reputation as the country’s top abortion performer and promoter.
