Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains celebrates upturn in abortions during COVID-19 pandemic

What red-blooded American is not bursting with pride as he or she looks out at all that Americans are doing for the vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. Truly “We are all in this together.”

But, as you would expect, given the source, Planned Parenthood has their own sick twist on helping out one another in times of crisis. We learn from  Michael Konopasek, reporting for Fox News in Denver. “The numbers that we’ve seen have been pretty extraordinary,” said Vicki Cowart, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. “Our last fiscal year we saw patients coming for abortion from 37 different states.”

And, as for April, Cowart  told  Konopasek that Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains “saw more than 250 out-of-state patients for abortion care services.”

So, PPRM is the beneficiary of the correct decisions made by other states, such as nearby Texas that during a pandemic, priority must be given to necessary, not elective, surgical procedures, such as elective abortions.

These commonsense health protocols do not hold for Colorado and, by extension, Vicki Cowart.

To paraphrase the post office motto, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor pandemics stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds of killing unborn babies.”
