More good numbers for President Trump

For what it’s worth, I have argued for over a year that President Trump will receive considerably more support from Latinos and Black voters than we are led to believe.  More evidence in this direction came out yesterday with the latest Hill-HarrisX poll.

Naturally, initially, the Hill put the worst spin on it

The president remains underwater with Black voters, but the poll found his support has grown among the key voting bloc.

Trump was approved by 19 percent of Black voters in a study conducted Sept. 5-8. That number increased 6 points to 25 percent in the most recent survey.

An earlier Rasmussen poll found the President’s support among Blacks at 36%. Either figure would be a huge increase for President Trump.

“Support among White and Hispanic voters held steady, at 55 and 37 percent, respectively,” the Hill reported. Don’t zip by that latter figure. Three in eight Hispanics approve of President Trump’s performance.

Then there is a recent Quinnipiac University poll, which is no friend of the President. If nearly 3 in 8 (36%) of Hispanics say they would vote for (or, if undecided, lean toward) President Trump, the fact is the number might be even higher.

Moreover, The Hill reported

President Trump‘s job approval has ticked up to 48 percent in a new Hill-HarrisX poll, a 1 percentage point increase from the same survey conducted earlier this month.

Today Rasmussen Reports found the President’s approval at 50%.
