On Wednesday, I wrote about the great pro-life enthusiasm there was for pro-life candidates in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
In spite of massive pro-abortion money poured into the state, preliminary vote counts indicate that the PA House and Senate will maintain their pro-life majorities. Today I’d like to focus on one clear and decisive victory for preborn babies and their mothers.
Pennsylvania Congressman Scott Perry (R) has defeated pro-abortion Democratic candidate Eugene DePasquale.
Perry has a 100 percent pro-life voting record and was endorsed by both National Right to Life and the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation Political Action Committee. In his legislative career, he has proven to be a true champion for the most vulnerable among us.
He has consistently and unapologetically fought against taxpayer funding of abortion and late-term abortion and supports positive alternatives to abortion.
In sharp contrast, DePasquale has a radically pro-abortion stand and was backed by the abortion industry and its allies. DePasquale boasted about his endorsements from abortion giant Planned Parenthood and the abortion activist group known as NARAL. He has even railed against pregnancy resource centers, which provide loving support to pregnant women facing challenging circumstances.
The Pennsylvania contest was one of the most-watched Congressional races in the country. Indeed, pro-abortion forces sunk large sums of cash into the race in an effort to unseat the pro-life incumbent.
But the voters of the 10th Pennsylvania Congressional district stood behind Congressman Perry, proving once again that pro-life voters are making a significant difference in the Keystone State.
