Pennsylvanians headed to the polls today with the eyes of the nation upon them.
Analysts from coast to coast consider Pennsylvania to be the epicenter of this year’s hotly-contested Presidential race.
Both candidates have roots in the Keystone State—pro-life President Donald Trump went to college in PA, while pro-abortion Democrat Joe Biden hails from Scranton. Yet the similarities end there.
President Trump has amassed an impressive pro-life record of achievement, from cutting federal funding to abortion giant Planned Parenthood to naming pro-life advocates to his Cabinet. In his many campaign stops in Pennsylvania, he has heralded the sacredness of innocent human life.
In sharp contrast, Biden supports making Roe v. Wade the permanent law of the land by passing legislation to “codify Roe.” Roe, when considered with its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, brought abortion, for any reason or no reason, during all nine months of pregnancy. More than 62 million preborn children have died as a result of the tragic 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decisions.
Biden also supports taxpayer funding of abortion, which would cause abortion totals in the U.S. to rise astronomically. Research has shown that, when public funds are used to pay for abortion, abortion rates jump dramatically.
Some long-time Pennsylvania voters reported waiting an hour or longer at the polls to cast their votes. Despite a proliferation of mail-in ballots this year, Election Day voter turnout appears heavy.
A number of political prognosticators believe that the road to the White House this year runs straight through Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth is home to 20 Electoral votes which could decide the Presidential contest.
