Your vote is a voice for preborn babies

by | Nov 18, 2020

While scrolling through the Instagram account of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation (@paprolifefed), I noticed that one of our most popular posts was a simple meme that conveyed a powerful message.

The post showed a baby in all her beauty, looking directly at the camera. Accompanying the baby was one poignant line: Your vote is her voice.

This is why elections in the U.S. are so consequential for the cause of life. Babies…whether they be inside or outside the mother’s womb…cannot speak for themselves. It is up to each one of us to show our support for these precious children by casting our ballots based on what is in their best interests. Otherwise, these little ones are completely silenced.

Control of the United States Senate will be determined by two run-off elections January 5th in Georgia. The stakes couldn’t be higher.

This is why the integrity of the election process matters. If we cannot trust our election results, we cannot be assured that these babies have a fighting chance in our republic. It is altogether fitting, then, that the Pennsylvania legislature will be conducting a thorough review of Election 2020.

Many pro-life voters in the Commonwealth are concerned about whether every legal pro-life vote was counted. Going forward, we must have assurances that our elections are conducted in a fair, impartial manner.

We owe it to our children to get elections right—especially those children who are so often forgotten by society at large. The pro-life issue is a preeminent issue when voting because it is fundamental for the flourishing of our human family.

The situation also shows the tremendous power of social media to shape our views. This is why censorship by Big Tech is so repugnant, because it tends to silence those who are already marginalized—children in the womb.

As we move forward, let us rededicate ourselves to the principle that, when it comes to a preborn baby, your vote is truly her voice. It is a philosophy that should be spread far and wide—through cyberspace and beyond.
