The message of the pro-life movement: pro-woman, pro-caring, and pro-love

Picture this: you are the mother of a 10-year-old boy. You find out you are pregnant—even though you think you are too old to care for another baby. You make an appointment at an abortion center, pay for the abortion, and then—walk out and opt instead to go to a pregnancy resource center.

We’ll let Ashley take over the story from here:

“When I saw the ultrasound, I thought, ‘I think he’s sucking his thumb. He’s so cute I might cry!

“My counselor cared! She made me feel at home. She helped me see that I was already a good mom. I told her ‘no, no I’m not.’ And she said, ‘Yes you are! You are so strong. You just don’t always see it.’”

But Ashley came to see the light—and her own self-worth. The result? She gave birth to an unrepeatable, one-of-a-kind boy.

As the outreach director for the Women’s Care Center in York, Pennsylvania wrote to the center’s supporters, “…in Ashley’s case, you saved a ‘little brother.’ You saved a family.”

This happens every day…in pregnancy help centers around the nation. Women are strengthened…lives are saved…and families are empowered.

The Women’s Care Center has a lovely slogan at the bottom of its stationery. It states, “Where women are loved…where hearts are touched…where babies are saved.”

That is indeed the message of the pro-life movement: it is pro-woman, pro-caring, and pro-love. It is a successful, peaceful movement that builds up America, one heart and one life at a time.

If you ever wonder whether the pro-life movement is making a difference, think of Ashley and her two incredible boys. And remember, there’s always a reason to choose life!
