Performing an honorable task and unknowingly profiting Planned Parenthood

Kudos go out to Alexandra DeSanctis of National Review Online for her sharp eye.

I’d seen a passing reference to how the Biden Inaugural Committee would host a symbolic “Field of Flags on the National Mall” display today. What I didn’t do is click on the link that provided “further information” about the “Field of Flags.”

DeSanctis did and found that contributions would be “split evenly” among  the two featured groups on the front page and then 94 “other groups.” If you click again, guess who one of those 94 “other groups” is? Planned Parenthood.

This is grubby on so many different levels. We are told this “extensive public art display”

will cover the National Mall from 3rd Street to 13th Street, will represent the American people who are unable to travel to Washington, DC, and reflect our commitment to an inclusive and safe event that everyone can enjoy from their home. To include the American people in the inaugural ceremonies, we welcome Americans to become a symbolic sponsor of the Field of Flags.

People are not in Washington, DC because of the pandemic and unrest. The COVID-19 has claimed 402,000 victims. In one year alone, Planned Parenthood’s victims number over 345,000. And unlike PPFA, the pandemic is not annually fed countless millions in state and federal dollars as well as foundational grants.

And it is unseemly, at best, stomach turning at worst, that the nation’s preeminent abortion provider should profit from the installation of the new President of the United States. I understand that PPFA’s tentacles are already deep in the new Biden/Harris administration, but you would think they could wait 24 hours.
