The Senate State and Local Government Committee voted 9-1 to pass HB 91 yesterday. It now remains for the full Senate to vote on its passage. We are in the LAST DAYS of the 2021 Regular Session!
A summary of the bill says: Propose to create a new section of the Constitution of Kentucky to state that Kentucky’s Constitution does not secure or protect a right to abortion or funding of abortion.
Rep. Joe Fischer answered questions as to why HB 91 is needed. These details are important for legislators and pro-lifers to understand. You can hear his testimony on KET, here. Start the video at about 39 minutes.
KRLA Exec. Dir. Addia Wuchner also testified to explain why this bill is important to constitutional integrity. Please take time to listen to this brief testimony.
