I am adopted, and my birth mother was 19 when she had me. She was not married and was very scared. She had a choice for abortion, but instead chose to have me. I was adopted the day I was born into a wonderful, loving family. If she had not chosen that I would not be here today. This has had a big impact on my life and one of the many reasons why I am pro-life.

From conception a baby is alive and breathing. When mothers go to get their ultrasound, you can physically see the baby alive inside the womb. At Epiphany we had the chance to see an ultrasound in person. That helped me understand even more about the baby in the womb. Many people who are pro-choice think that the baby in the womb is just a “clump of cells.” You can clearly see in pictures and ultrasounds the babies’ feet, hands, and face. The baby is just not fully developed yet. There are thousands of babies killed each year because of abortion. This is horrible.

I feel that abortion should not even be an option. Many of those babies could have been a doctor, teacher, a veterinarian, or even president one day. Those babies could have even been my classmates. Every baby deserves a chance to live. I am pro-life because I believe that from conception the baby is alive and real. All babies deserve the chance to live, even if it may not be more long. There are so many more options than abortion.
