Finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively, were Eden Nava, from Oregon, Victoria Baker, from Virginia, and Bridget Bogan, from Michigan.

The Oratory Contest is an annual event that takes place in conjunction with the National Right to Life Convention.  Students deliver speeches between 5-7 minutes in length on a pro-life topic of their choosing.  This year’s contestants shared heart-warming personal stories about abortion, stem-cell research, and euthanasia.

Three judge panels determine preliminary round winners who then compete in the final round.

“It was great to be able to have the contest in person this year instead of virtually like last year due to the pandemic,” said contest Director Scott Fischbach. “My hope is next year even more states will be able to hold in-person contests and send their state winners to the national contest.”
