I hope you are as pleased with the February issue of NRL News as I am. You’ll find something for everyone in this 42 page edition of the “pro-life newspaper of record.”

We started out with a look ahead to the November mid-terms. Political Director Karen Cross writes “The momentum behind pro-life women candidates is undeniable in 2022, and pro-abortion candidates across the country should be nervous heading into the midterm elections.”

The other front page story is the great news that “Abortions down 60% since passage of Texas Heartbeat Law.” There were 2,197 abortions reported in Texas the first month after the new law went into effect Sept. 1, compared to 5,404 in August 2021. Great news!

On page three, NRL President Carol Tobias reminds us “We must stay focused.” Mid-term elections are less than nine months away and we must ensure that pro-lifers take back control of the House and the Senate!

Maria Gallagher offers us “49 solid reasons for pro-life optimism.” Be sure to read this story on page on page four.

Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon, NRL’s Director of Education & Research, does a whale of a job explaining how our “New Fact Sheet Spotlights Abortion Pill’s Safety, Efficacy Issues, Risks for Telemedicine.” Chemical abortions are increasing by the month and the dangers they pose have been brushed aside by the Abortion Industry. You’ll find it on page 6.

On page nine, Jacki Ragan writes about “Super Bowl champion Matt Birk and Jim Daly of Focus on the Family highlight exciting roster of speakers for NRLC 2022.” It may seem like a long ways away, but the two-day pro-life educational event of the year is June 24 and 25.

On page 11, you’ll read about how Florida’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks has passed the House and it is on its way to passage in the Senate and Gov. DeSantis’ signature.

As always there are many encouraging stories about pro-lifers who stood up for life. For example, on page 20 you’ll read “Countless families with children with Down syndrome have lives marked by love and joy, lives that have been changed for the better.”

Please dig in to the February issue. You’ll be glad you did!
