Legend and Wysdom are quite a pair. I see their faces looking up at me from the front page of the York, Pennsylvania edition of CareLine, a publication of the Womenās Care Center.
These precious twins nearly did not make it into the world. When she found out she was pregnant, their mother Krystina initially Googled, āWhere to get an abortion.ā
She goes on to say, āI was supposed to go to the abortion clinic. But after I visited Womenās Care Center, I never went. You were so wonderful.
āWhen I found out I was having twins, I was even more worried than before. Iād just gone through a tragedy (the death of her boyfriend). I was not prepared.ā
But, through a gradual process, and with the support that the pregnancy resource center provided, Krystina found the courage and strength to go on.
āMy mind didnāt change overnight. But over the weeks, I started to realize I could do it. I kept coming back to Womenās Care Center. You were always here for me.ā
The fact is, Krystina has found a new calling in serving as a mother to her terrific twosome.
āI love my babies! Even though they are twins, they are opposites. Heās outgoing, and sheās sassy!ā
The story of Legend and Wysdom shows what miracles can happen when a group of committed, caring people reach out to a pregnant woman facing difficult circumstances. The chain reaction of love saved the lives of these twinsāand saved their mother the tragic heartache of abortion.Ā
The behind-the-scenes heroes at pregnancy help centers are standing in the gap for women who may have been abandoned by boyfriends, husbands, even mothers and fathers. They provide a lifeline to women who may feel isolated, lonely, and on the brink of despair.Ā
Women like Krystina, who now says, āI am so happy about my decision. Absolutely, absolutely!ā
