In her new book, Here’s the Deal, Kellyanne Conway former Trump Administration official illuminates the hypocrisy of pro-abortion politicians such as former Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
“Follow the science becomes follow the politics,” Conway writes. “People scream ‘Science!’ When it comes to a paper mask on a five-year-old’s face to prevent the spread of a global pandemic, but not when it comes to a sonogram of a five-month-old baby showing a clear image of a human life, the baby’s gender, heartbeat, and limbs.”
Conway takes particular aim at public officials who push the envelope—and all manner of decency—when it comes to late-term abortion.
“Radical liberal governors in recent years have expanded the time frame in which abortions can be performed in their states, eager to mollify the multimillion-dollar Big Abortion industry. But these governors are at odds with millions of their less-vocal residents.”
As Conway deftly points out, a growing contingent of Americans “find it impossible to reconcile abortions being performed at twenty-five weeks while learning that babies born at that point or earlier are surviving and thriving.”
Conway cites a Washington Post study noting that Democrats did not utter the word “abortion” once during the 2020 convention—a sign of the unpopularity of the abortion-without-limits position.
The author also notes that Donald Trump was the most pro-life President in U.S. history—a point even pro-abortion activists do not dispute.
