National Right to Life and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Endorse Brad Finstad in Minnesota Congressional Special Election

by | Jun 1, 2022

WASHINGTON— National Right to Life and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life announced their endorsement of Brad Finstad in the August 9th special election for Minnesota’s first Congressional seat.

“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Brad Finstad for election to Congress,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Brad Finstad has a proven record of standing up for unborn children and their mothers.”

Brad Finstad supports pro-life protections to safeguard the lives of unborn babies and their mothers.

Brad Finstad opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion or to fund abortion providers. He supports the longstanding Hyde Amendment, which bars federal tax dollars from being used for abortions in many federal programs. The Hyde Amendment has saved an estimated 2.5 million lives since its passage in 1976.

Brad Finstad opposes the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act, which really should be called the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act” because it would enshrine abortion in federal law and policies, and it would tear down pro-life protections on the state level including parental involvement and informed consent laws.

By contrast, his opponent Jeff Ettinger supports a policy of abortion on demand for any reason, and he would use tax dollars to pay for it.

“Jeff Ettinger wants to permanently enshrine abortion-on-demand. He doesn’t want the Supreme Court to even allow Minnesotans to have a say,” said Cathy Blaeser of the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Federal PAC. “Brad Finstad offers a stark contrast. He will advocate for the most vulnerable and be a strong pro-life voice for southern Minnesota.”

“Brad Finstad is committed to building a culture of life in Washington, D.C. and across the nation,” said Tobias. “We look forward to working with Brad Finstad to advance vital pro-life policies.”
