Once Roe v. Wade received its long-overdue comeuppance, you knew—you just knew—we would be flooded with phony baloney claims. For example, the assertions that laws have been and would be passed that would not allow doctors to removed potential lethal ectopic pregnancies. This is particularly egregious, but only one example.
So “Abortion misinformation surges in Latino communities” hardly came as a surprise.
We’re told by Shawna Chen that “Latinos are facing an onslaught of Spanish-language misinformation about abortion in the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, health experts and reproductive rights advocates say.”
Chen wrote her story for Axios, another in a bottomless series of pro-abortion publications whose job it is to make pro-abortionists look wonderful and pro-lifers unfeeling cads.
Chen outlines the coordinated efforts of groups and resources which have sprung up. The National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice; Factchequeado, “a Spanish-language fact-checking service”; the “Illinois Medical Professional Action Collaborative Team have also taken to social media to amplify accurate information in both English and Spanish”; and the “non-partisan” National Partnership for Women & Families—to name just a few.
What to say? For starters, this implies that pro-lifers—and especially Pregnancy Help Centers—are not there on the front lines. Too busy supposedly peddling lies. They aren’t, of course, which is why the pro-aborts and their congressional allies hate them so.
These evidence-free assaults not only slam a selfless bunch of heroes, they also deepen the outrageous slander that pro-lifers only care about the unborn child.
In fact, Pregnancy Help Centers, which are always strapped for funds, work overtime to overcome language barriers, which can be formidable. This takes a lot of effort, which they gladly make. It’s a lot tougher, and takes infinitely more time, to help a womanr long-term than offering her the “quick fix” of an abortion.
The Big Lie is the abortion industry’s favorite tactic. But the pro-life movement pushes on, knowing that pregnant women and their unborn children will benefit from your faithfulness.
