Running for the Senate, pro-abortion Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan refuses to support any restrictions on abortion

One of the primary reasons the lead enjoyed by JD Vance over pro-abortion Congressman Tim Ryan has grown  to 4.6 points was on display yesterday as Ryan “would not commit to any abortion restrictions when pressed on the issue Sunday,” according to Jack Birle, of the Washington Examiner.

It wasn’t supposed to be a difficult interview. After all, it was conducted by Dana Bash, anchoring CNN’s State of the Union. Here’s the exchange between Bush and Ryan:

Q: “What restrictions, if any, do you believe there should be on abortion?”

A: “Ultimately this needs to be a decision between the woman and her doctor. …”

Q: “As a legislator you have to have some idea of what to do when you’re not a doctor. So should there be some restrictions when it comes to the law of the land?”

A:  “Ultimately the decider has to be the woman and her   doctor…”

Q: “It sounds like you’re saying no restrictions.”

A: “Well…”

And then back again to the alleged “extremism” of JD Vance and life of the mother situations which, in fact, all state laws allow for. In fact JD Vance supports protection for unborn children and opposes using taxpayer dollars for abortion while Rep. Ryan, who is a genuine extremist on abortion, supports unlimited abortion up until birth and votes to use your taxpayers to pay for him.

Ryan and Vance are competing for the Senate seat being vacated by pro-life Republican Sen. Rob Portman.
