Pro-life candidates won in races around the Commonwealth of Virginia in the 2022 elections. All four of Virginia’s incumbent pro-life members of Congress defeated pro-abortion challengers and held onto their seats.

Congratulations to Congressmen Rob Wittman, R-1st, Bob Good, R-5th, Ben Cline, R-6th, and Morgan Griffith, R-9th.

In a major upset, pro-life Virginia State Senator Jen Kiggans defeated radical pro-abortion incumbent Rep. Elaine Luria in the 2nd Congressional District. Her win helps add to a stronger pro-life force in Congress.

Unfortunately, Councilwoman Yesli Vega was narrowly defeated by radical pro-abortion advocate Rep. Abigail Spanberger in the 7th Congressional District. Yesli Vega was attacked by the Spanberger team repeatedly with manipulative ads and fear mongering about her pro-life position while hiding Congresswoman Spanberger’s 100 % extremist pro-abortion voting record in Congress.

In the 10th Congressional District, Hung Cao was defeated by pro-abortion Rep. Jennifer Wexton in a close race as well.

“Virginia Society for Human Life congratulates Jen Kiggans on her victory in the 2nd District. She will join the rest of the pro-life voices in Congress committed to protecting every innocent human life and defeating the plans of pro-abortion leaders there,” said Olivia Gans Turner, VSHL President. “Voters rejected the hysteria and manipulation of abortion proponents and voted for Life!”
