Keen interest in Tuesday’s primary elections in Pennsylvania

If the calls we have been receiving at our Political Action Committee are any indication, interest is quite high in Tuesday’s primary election in Pennsylvania.

Even though it is an off-year election, voters appear to be quite engaged this go-around. For instance, the outcome of the 163rd PA special election state House race will determine leadership in the entire House of Representatives. That’s because Democrats currently have an impossibly thin one-vote majority in the General Assembly’s lower chamber.

In the statewide judicial races, the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation PAC has issued the following recommendations:

For Pennsylvania Supreme Court: Republicans Carolyn Carluccio and Patricia McCullough (voters can only vote for one)

For Pennsylvania Superior Court: Republicans Maria Battista and Harry Smail (voters can vote for two)

For Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court: Republicans Megan Martin and Joshua Prince (voters can only vote for one)

No Democrat candidates filled out our judicial candidate questionnaire. However, Democratic voters are permitted to write in candidates who were recommended by our PAC.

The winners of the Republican and Democratic primaries will advance to the general election in November.

It is important that we have state appellate judges who interpret the law, rather than trying to make laws from the bench. This is one of the reasons why judicial races are so crucial in the Commonwealth.

So, if you are registered to vote in Pennsylvania, please exercise your right on Tuesday. Remember, courageous men and women fought and died for our sacred right to vote!
