We’re just past the half-way mark for the month of November, and I’m hoping you’re at least half-way though the November edition of NRL News which we affectionately describe as the “pro-life newspaper of record”.

As so often is the case, Carol Tobias’s president’s column is a  must read. “Be a Candle that shines a light in the darkness” will buoy your spirits. She ends her column “Let’s be the candle to bring light and love to the world, to share the message that every person is unique, every person is special, every person deserves respect—simply because they are a member of our human family.”

We ran three different stories on Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.), the new, very pro-life Speaker of the House. Jennifer Popik, JD, Director of Federal Legislation, wrote “Speaker Johnson, representing Louisiana’s 4th district, is a constitutional law attorney widely recognized as a strong defender of the right to life. He has served as vice chair of the House Republican Conference and has been an active promoter of prolife issues, particularly in his role on the Judiciary Committee.”

Holly Gatling, executive director of South Carolina Citizens for Life, wrote a beautiful story about “What they see cannot be unseen”: the power of fetal models. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much I did.

Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon, NRL’s Director of Education & Research, wrote a brilliant update on “Where we stand with Pharmacy Distribution of Abortion Pills.”

This 40 page issue has much, much more. Please take time to bring yourself up to speed on everything pro-life.
