To be pro-life is to recognize that human life is an essential good which needs to be protected, cherished, and loved

By Maria V. Gallagher, PAC Director, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

If you listened to the legacy media, you would think that the term “pro-life” was to be avoided at all costs.

But each day I am contacted by candidates who are eager for an endorsement from the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation PAC.

In fact, polling shows that in one district in particular, a primary race could be decided by voters intent on choosing a pro-life candidate.

So much for the narrative that candidates can only win by riding a pro-abortion wave.

Another tired media trope is that all female voters see support for abortion as their number one issue. I work for a pro-life organization that is currently run by an all female workforce and is chaired by a woman. None of those women will pull the lever for pro-abortion candidates.

Despite the lies and misunderstandings which fill the airwaves, abortion is an inherently violent act which ends the life of an innocent human being. No sugarcoating ad campaigns can erase that fundamental fact.

Truth and goodness will triumph in the end. Abortion is a sign that society has deeply failed women. To be a pro-life candidate is to recognize that human life is an essential good which needs to be protected, cherished, and loved.
