Five Democratic candidates for Pennsylvania Attorney General vie to be the most pro-abortion

Apr 23, 2024

By Maria V. Gallagher, PAC Director, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

2024 could be remembered as the year of the disappearance of the pro-life Democrat in Pennsylvania.

The Keystone State has had a long tradition of bipartisan support for pro-life issues. After all, it was the home of former Governor Robert Casey Sr., a Democrat, who gained fame for standing up to party bosses to proclaim the right to life.

But the Casey Democrat is in short supply in party politics today.

Five Democrats are vying to be the nominee for Pennsylvania Attorney General. In debates and in the public square, they seem to be competing for the title of who is the most pro-abortion of them all.

One candidate is even running a TV ad where, seated next to his mother, he smilingly declares his support for abortion. Of course, the irony is that he would not be here, were it not for his mother choosing life.

I have noticed that even a number of Republican voters are saddened by the disappearance of pro-life Democrats in Pennsylvania. The phenomenon signals a sharp change in the political landscape of the Commonwealth and a disturbing lack of reverence for human life.

Today, April 23rd, is primary election day in Pennsylvania. If you have not yet voted, you can check out the stands of the candidates via a link at www.paprolife.org. Please do your patriotic duty and vote.

Courageous men and women have fought and died to defend this sacred right!
