The road to the White House generally runs right through the heart of Pennsylvania.
This decidedly purple Commonwealth could, in fact, decide who will be the occupant in the White House come 2025.
In an effort to court Keystone State residents, pro-abortion President Joe Biden has made numerous forays into the land of William Penn.
However, I have found that many Pennsylvanians are shocked when they are confronted with the President’s draconian record on life.
For instance, President Biden promotes unlimited abortion until birth through his support of the radical Women’s Health Protection Act. This is a far cry from Pennsylvania law, which permits abortion after 24 weeks only to save the life of the mother or to prevent the impairment of a major bodily function.
Pennsylvania also has accommodations for parental consent, informed consent, and a 24-hour waiting period for abortion. Following the massive scandal in West Philadelphia surrounding abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who was convicted of three counts of 1st degree murder, the Commonwealth also passed an abortion center regulation law which includes regular unannounced inspections of abortion facilities. Prior to that, hair and nail salons received greater scrutiny in Pennsylvania than abortion centers.
President Biden is also on record opposing the Hyde Amendment, a commonsense measure which protects federal taxpayer dollars from being spent on abortion except in the rare cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. More than two million lives have been saved as a result of the Hyde Amendment.
Are you surprised that President Biden wants to eliminate the Hyde Amendment? You shouldn’t be.
The Chief Executive likes to talk about “Scranton values.” He fails to mention the fact that, based on its strong pro-life advocacy, Scranton was once known as the pro-life capital of the world.
What President Biden actually promotes are not values, but a pro-abortion mentality that is anathema to the Commonwealth that William Penn founded.
